Mosaic Pot Stand

Found this simple craft idea from www.ActivityVillage.co.uk while I was surfing online. Not only it is simple, it would be great to use it for our playgroup. Do visit their site for more ideas.









Materials:
Unwanted CD, CD-Rom or DVD
Craft foam (in lots of different colours)
PVA glue (white glue)

Method
1. Cut the foam into squares or shapes.
2. Start of the middle, use different color foam and stick on the CD.
3. When completely dry, trim around the disk to leave a mosaic circle.

Invitation CD

If you have lots of unwanted CD to spare, you can recycle and use them for your craft.

Materials: CD, scissors, cellophane tape, fabric pen

Method:
1. Write invitation on your CD
2. Decorate with with pictures and colors with fabric pen
3. Cut it into half (semi circle).
4. Tape it together so it that it can be opened or closed (like an invitation card)

Mobile Bumblebees

Materials: cardboard, paper, scissors, glue, hole puncher, thread

Method:
1. Draw or print out pictures of bees. Color them.
2. Stick them to a cardboard
3. Create a bee hive using a hard board
4. String them to the hive

This pretty bee hive can also be hung on your baby's cot.

CD magnet

Most parents love to display their kids work on their fridge, so do I. My fridge is full of printout photos, artwork display and notice. So magnet is one of my favorite collection.es

Besides functioning as a magnet, we can also create a piece of good art.

Materials: Unwanted CD, magnet, sticker or any decor, maker, double sided tape

Method:
1. Decorate your CD with names, faces or any design
2. Tape the magnet to the back of the CD

Now you have a piece of nice CD artwork for your fridge

CD Clock

Thanks to Jane, for her effort to come out with this SUPERB craft recycle idea for a "long lasting" clock that we can use to teach time to our kids.

Materials
CD, printed numbers (or maker), glue, thick protector sheet, card board, button and some sewing thread

Method
1. Paste all the numbers on the plain surface of your CD
2. Paste a small piece of protector sheet (or thick cardboard)on both side of the hole in the middle.
3. Cut the short and long hands out of the protector sheet (or thick board). Sew both hands to the button, loosely for easy movement.
4. Sew them to the protector sheet on the CD.
