Here is an unusual craft idea for a Japanese theme (it also makes a great gift for someone who needs a calming influence!)
Patterns are made in the sand to represent rippling water. A great gift for Father's Day or Teacher's Day.
Materials: Sand tray (such as chocolate box), fine sand, forks, pebbles
Method:
1. Place the sand in the tray
2. Fill your box halfway to the rim with sand.
3. Use your fork to draw a pattern in the sand.
4. Arrange your pebbles.
